Beans on keto are a controversial choice. Green beans can be a great side dish. Beans are allowed to be eaten in limited quantities, and only as an exception.

How to choose beans for keto

The herbal product is undoubtedly rich in vitamins and minerals. However, some types have too many carbohydrates. Choose those that contain as little as possible. You should always cook beans with keto with the addition of oil so that the ratio of nutrients remains within the framework of the diet.

The classification of beans is varied. On keto, most grouping methods are meaningless. Beans on keto should be divided into only two groups - in the form of beans and green beans.

Beans on the keto diet

Beans in the form of beans are the most diverse. There are many names, shapes and colors. However, they all have a high carbohydrate content - 50-60 grams per 100 grams of product. In this case, beans in the form of beans do not contain fat. You will have to add a lot of oil to change the nutrient ratio, making it suitable for the keto diet.

Even if you cook beans as a side dish for fatty meat, there will be too many carbohydrates in the whole dish. 30 grams of beans will give 15-20 grams of carbohydrates. This is half or all of the daily allowance. Sometimes this increase in carbohydrates is acceptable. A sharp change will help overcome the plateau, speed up the metabolism. Higher carbohydrates are allowed on alternating keto (and BUC) and on the day of intense training.

But an increased intake of carbohydrates, in particular the addition of a serving of beans, should always occur with a successful course of weight loss. If the weight goes well, and you have been on a diet for a long time (the figure is close to a year), you can cook beans on keto.

Green beans on keto

Can this kind of keto beans? Definitely yes. Keto green beans can be eaten according to all the same rules as other green vegetables. 100 g of the product contains only 7 g of carbohydrates, half of which is fiber. The calorie content of beans is 30 calories.

You can cook keto green beans for lunch and dinner. It can be the base of a salad, or wrap it in bacon and bake it. Add fresh beans to your main course to complement your meal.
